Elite Garages Newport – Now Open!!
We are excited to announce that Elite Garages opened our first site in the Isle of Wight on 19th April 2022! The Newport site became our 16th vehicle repair centre in the Elite Garages group. The Newport branch is overseen by Area Manager Mark Stevens who already manages branches in Portsmouth, Brighton and Pulborough. He had the following to say about the new service centre:
“We’re excited to be opening in the Isle of Wight. The central location in Newport means it’s easy to leave your vehicle with us, or you can enjoy our free customer WiFi whilst waiting for your vehicle. We have brand new, state-of-the-art equipment in our workshop and a spacious, modern waiting room for our customers.”

Elite Garages opened its new Newport site today (19-4-22)
The new garage is located on the former ATS site at 44-50 South Street, Newport, Isle of Wight, PO30 1JG, directly opposite Morrisons. Elite Garages has been a family-run business for more than 60 years, with three generations of the family working together, and Newport is their 16th vehicle repair centre.

There are several things you should check on your car before the start of winter to make sure it is in good condition and ready for the colder weather. This includes checking your battery, antifreeze, tyre pressure and tread, car brakes and all your fluid levels (engine oil, transmission fluid, coolant and power steering). In simple terms, budget tyres are the cheapest and often don’t last as long or hold up as well as mid-range or premium tyres. Mid-range seems to be the happy medium as they provide better grip and longevity which is only superseded by the more expensive, premium tyres that offer even better performance, including Bridgestone.
