Four Days at the Heart of the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2026

There are very few places where a century-old racing car, a brand-new hypercar, Formula 1 legends and thousands of passionate motoring enthusiasts all come together in one place. That’s exactly what makes the Goodwood Festival of Speed such a special event.

This year’s Festival once again celebrated everything that makes the automotive world so fascinating. From historic racing icons and rare classics to cutting-edge performance cars making their public debut, Goodwood offered visitors the chance to experience every era of motoring in one unforgettable weekend. The 2026 theme, The Rivals – Epic Racing Duels, brought many of motorsport’s greatest battles back into the spotlight, while the famous Hill remained the centrepiece of four action-packed days.

For everyone at Elite Garages, however, the memories that will last longest weren’t just the cars climbing the Hill. They were the conversations, the people we met and the opportunity to be part of one of the world’s greatest celebrations of motoring.

Right in the Middle of the Action

From the moment the gates opened each morning, there was an unmistakable buzz around the Festival. Whether visitors had travelled to watch Formula 1 legends, discover the latest supercars or admire beautifully preserved classics, there was a genuine excitement that could be felt across the entire Goodwood Estate.

Being part of that atmosphere was something we’re incredibly proud of.

Throughout the four days, hundreds of visitors stopped by the Elite Garages stand. Some were long-standing customers who wanted to say hello. Others were discovering Elite Garages for the very first time while exploring everything the Festival had to offer.

It was a reminder that, while the cars may draw people to Goodwood, it’s often the conversations that make the biggest impression.

More Than a Display

Unlike many exhibitions, Goodwood isn’t simply about looking at vehicles from behind barriers.

It’s about getting close enough to appreciate the engineering, hearing engines come to life, speaking to the people behind the brands and sharing a passion for motoring with complete strangers.

That’s exactly the spirit we wanted to bring to our stand.

Visitors explored our racing simulator, admired our famous tyre horse sculpture, took a closer look at our historic 1911 Pilain and shared countless stories about cars they’ve owned, restored or simply dreamed about driving.

Every conversation was different, but they all reminded us why events like Goodwood remain so important.

The People Behind the Stand

One of the most rewarding parts of the Festival wasn’t displaying our vehicles or welcoming visitors onto the stand. It was seeing our team do what they do best.

Across four very warm summer days, they answered questions, introduced visitors to Elite Garages, welcomed existing customers and shared their enthusiasm with everyone who stopped by.

Many visitors recognised our distinctive Nissan S-Cargo delivery van from previous years, while others were fascinated by the beautifully preserved 1911 Pilain that proudly sat at the front of the stand throughout the event.

For us, both vehicles represent something important.

• One reflects our own journey as a family-run business spanning more than six decades.
• The other celebrates the remarkable history of motoring that Goodwood continues to preserve.

A Stand That Invited People In

One of the things we love most about Goodwood is that visitors are naturally curious.

Some came over to try the racing simulator. Others wanted to photograph the tyre horse. Many simply stopped to ask who Elite Garages are and what we do.

Those moments gave us the opportunity to talk about far more than tyres and servicing.

We spoke about vehicle safety, modern diagnostics, electric vehicles, preventative maintenance and how our partnership with Bosch Car Service supports the expertise, technology and service standards available across the Elite Garages network.

Those conversations are exactly why we return to Goodwood year after year.

A Festival Packed with Highlights

The 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed once again brought together some of the biggest names in motorsport, automotive engineering and classic motoring. This year’s event celebrated the theme “The Rivals – Epic Racing Duels”, with visitors enjoying everything from historic Formula 1 machinery and legendary Le Mans racers to hypercar debuts, concours d’elegance winners and appearances from some of the sport’s most iconic drivers.
